Crisis and Risk Communication

Crisis and Risk Communication

Our team facilitates a Risk Communication workshop developed to increase the capacity within an organization to communciate internally and externally during crisis and emergency situations.  After completing this program, participants will be able to either increase or decrease "mental noise" - the greatest influencer of behavior within the audience they serve.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

    • Define risk communication.
    • Define "mental noise".
    • Discuss the effects of "mental noise" on behavior and decision-making processes.
    • Discuss scientific processes aimed at increasing and decreasing "mental noise".
    • Apply risk communication strategies - increasing compliance to scientific and public health recommendations.

Sometimes we want individuals to behave and sometimes we want them to think (or assess the risk logically). This program will assess the scientific level of risk, identify your communication goals, and customize a communications appoach with your staff to achieve optimal organizational results.  This email address is being protected from spambots.
