Residual risks are primarily human risk factors which are often overlooked when performing risk assessments and development risk management strategies. What someone believes about themselves (intra) and how they relate to others (inter) has a direct influence on overall safety behaviors and attitudes in the laboratory.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
Differentiate inter and inter personal risk factors.
Identify potential hazards (i.e. over confidence, complacency, conflict) related to inter and intra personal issues.
Discuss strategies for minimizing risks associated with inter and interpersonal issues.

This is a 16-hour remote based course with LIVE lectures, team assignments, module examinations, and certificates of completion for participants who score an 85% or better on the final examination.
Upon completing this program, participants will be able to:
Differentiate the differences between BSL1, BSL2, BSL3, and BSL4.
List the four primary controls of biosafety.
Discuss inherent and residual risk factors.
Describe several safety surveillance programs.
Perform a biorisk management gap analysis.
Evaluate, validate, and verify standard operating procedures.
Discuss the ISO35001 Biological Risk Mitigation Standard.
Identify strategies for increasing situational awareness in the laboratory.
Describe the containment philosophy and workflow.
Discuss the different types of biosafety cabinets.
List the steps for effective donning and doffing of PPE.
Demonstrate the BEAKING METHOD.
Respond to biological spills in the laboratory.
Discuss laboratory emergency preparedness and response strategies.
Identify and manage personality differences in the laboratory.
Integrate emotional, behavioral, and biorisk management intelligence strategies.
Course Tuition is $750.00 USD and includes course manual, access to training platform, and certificate of completion for students who successfully complete the program.
